Har Ki Dun Trek Located at an altitude of 12000 ft, Har Ki Dun Trek is one of the most mesmerizing valleys in the Garhwal Himalayas. It’s also known by another name i.e., “ The Valley of Gods ”. The valley is beautifully girdled by alpine foliage and is extremely rich in Flora and Fauna.
This valley is connected to Baspa Valley by Borasu Pass and the Yamuna River is the main source of water. People from around the globe go for this journey in order to witness spectacular views, seductive beauty, a calm terrain as well as tempting verdure. About the Journey
Along your journey, you’ll pass through some of the most remote villages in the country like Taluka, Osla, and Jakol. You get to witness the unique life and traditions in these mountain villages. The people in the villages are warm and friendly as well. Har Ki Dun Valley is a grazing ground for cattle and when it isn’t snowy, the goatherds bring their animal to graze in the meadows.
The journey starts at the village of Sankri and our platoon will meet you at Dehradun for pickup. You’ll be driven to Sankri where we will check- in a guesthouse. The journey starts the coming day as we journey from Sankri to Pauni Garaat via Taluka. En route, you may encounter wild orchids and if you’re really lucky, you may spot creatures like barking deer, leopards, dullsvilles, and much further. The Himalayan Monal, the state raspberry of Uttarakhand can also be spotted in the forests of the journey.
We’ll also cross the Tons River on the way. From Pauni Garaat, we will embark on towards Kalkattlyadhar via Osla village. utmost of the journey is through chaparrals of conifers and you’ll encounter the Supin River. Osla is located on the other side of the river and crossing the swash, you’ll arrive at Osla and head towards Kalkattiyadhar. The following day we will start our peak towards Har Ki Dun Trek and return back to Kalkattoyadhar covering a distance of 14 km.
Descending to Pauni Garaat the coming day we will rest the night. And head towards Sankri via Taluka ending our days of touring. Stay the night at Sankri, explore the village and the original request. And head back to Dehradun the coming day, ending the trip.
