These big cats are incredible animals. The black stripes may recognize their orange and white fur.
The tiger is one of my child’s favorite animals. The house is filled with stuffed tigers of all sizes. We’ve even been known to invite them to dinner on National Tiger Day (July 29th)
Tigers come in six separate subspecies. Do you realize that? The Bengal tiger, South China tiger, Amur tiger (sometimes called the Siberian tiger), Sumatran tiger, Indochinese tiger, and Malayan tiger are among the tigers found in Asia.

Tiger’s body:
- Print out the free drawing tutorial below and start by following along. Pick up a pencil and some paper. Throughout the drafting process, always begin with light lines.
Developing Tiger:
- First, draw the head of the tiger. Some people liken the tiger’s head to a flipped-over tomato. The top of the skull is slightly flat, while the bottom has three minor bends.
- Draw a picture of the tiger’s body. Two curved lines descend and curve under the base of the tiger’s head. Cut out a curved shape for each of the front paws.
Drawing of a tiger’s hind legs:
- The next step is to sketch the cute cartoon tiger’s sitting rear legs. On either side of the tiger’s midsection, draw its hind legs.
- The fronts of the paws can have two lines drawn up them. These divide the tiger’s front body from its front legs.
Create a tiger’s ears:
- The next thing we’ll sketch is the tiger’s cute ears. Draw two half circles, one from each side of the head, to represent each ear.
- Fun fact: Tigers have false eyeballs on the backs of their ears. They repel predators with white spots that resemble tiger eyes on the back of their ears.
Make a tail for a tiger:
- The next step is drawing the tail. A slender, curved line that started at the tiger’s back.
Tiger’s paws and neck:
- Shows the front of the tiger’s torso with a v-neckline. Then, in the middle of each hind paw, there were little circles.
The tiger’s head:
- The next step is to sketch the tiger’s face. To illustrate the tiger’s nasal bridge, I like to start by sketching two little lines in the middle of the face.
- For the tip of the nose, create a little heart-shaped design. Draw two circles, one on either side of the nose, for the front of the mouth.
- The two rings are joined to form the tiger’s lower lip. The next component to be added to the tiger’s face is its eyes, which are smaller circles for the eye sockets.
Make the stripes of the tiger:
- Then the tiger’s body must be covered in tiger stripes entirely. Small leaf-like shapes might come from the tiger’s head, along its borders, through its breast, and out of its tail.
Draw over each line with a darker pencil:
- Finish your time by adding a darker finishing line over each light line.
- Now that the tiger drawing is in its final stage, it should be colored. Use crayons, markers, pencils, or acrylic paints. The tiger you drew will come to life thanks to them all. I hope you enjoy the tiger drawing lesson.
