If I talk about myself, I mostly watch videos on my Apple Watch Series 7 when I’m bored or tinkering. It’s a great experience because I can connect to the used iPhone 12 Pro, and with a stable wifi connection, I can watch YouTube videos.

Just consider that you’re fixing something or watching a tutorial to cook something; you can’t just hold on to the phone every now and then because you might miss an important part. So, by using a smartwatch, you can easily watch a tutorial while also doing whatever you’re doing without a hitch.
- Batter option to go for if trying to watch something in private. We all had an experience when we were watching something on our phones, and someone would just try to look over our shoulder😅. By using a smartwatch, you won’t have to worry about it because the screen of the watch is much smaller than a smartphone. Plus, you can always turn the face of the watch inwards and watch the video more privately.
So, even though these might not seem like much of a reason, they are a few things that many smartwatch owners can benefit from.

One thing that I would like to tell you about this is that I’ve been using the Apple Watch Series 7 for some time now and only recently bought the Apple Watch Series 8. So, I’m not sure if you can watch regular videos from your phone library, but I do know how to watch YouTube Videos on this Apple smartwatch.
The process of watching videos on a Series 8 is simple as it can be. All you need to do is install an app on your watch that goes by the name of “WatchTube.” I know, I know, it’s a third-party app, but it can basically show all the YouTube videos.
Once you install the app on your watch, you open it like any other app. However, once you open an app, it’s a completely different story. You’ll have 4 pages that you have access to, which include the main featured video page, a settings page, a search bar page, and a library page. Basically, all the pages that might need to form an app like this.
Granted, the app still has some minor bugs, but it works amazingly on my new Apple Watch Series 8. However, you do need to keep in mind that there is no official way to link your Google account with this app. What this means is that you’ll basically have a new YouTube app, and if you subscribe to a YouTube channel on this app, it won’t sync up with your Google account.
It’s a pretty awesome app with tons of amazing features that I’m pretty sure you won’t expect to see on a smartwatch app.
